Linderhof Palace and Park

The "Royal Villa" of Ludwig II. originated as a hunting lodge belonging to his father Maximilian II.
It was enlarged between 1870 - 1872 and in 1874 the palace was completed with the Hall of Mirrors and Staircase and furnished in the style of the "second Rococo" period.
The waterworks in the Royal Garden take place from early April through to the middle of October daily from 9am - 6pm in 30 minute intervals.
In winter only the palace and not the park buildings can be visited.

Oct - March 10.00 - 16.00 h
Closed on "Carneval Tuesday" and 24., 25., 31.12. + 1.1.
